Pulp
Ekman’s long history and reputation for professionalism and efficiency play an important role in the pulp industry where long term business is often built on personal relationships and mutual trust.
Ekman’s pulp division is built around a partnership strategy. It is our goal to work closely with a targeted number of pulp producers and add value to their organization in the following areas; sales and marketing, financing, credit and insurance, logistics, and back office administration.
We utilize our global sales and marketing organization to be an active supplier in all major geographic areas across different pulp grades, adding external expertise and an international perspective for any supplier.
An industry under change
Pulp consumption continues to increase annually, with growth largely driven by emerging Asian markets. Many of the mills expanding in Asia require marketing partners that know the industry and can give guidance and support as their capacity grows. Ekman can provide this support throughout the supply chain, providing pulp to the mills and finding buyers for their export paper products. Globally, pulp capacity continues to migrate from West to East, and pulp production from North to South.
Ekman’s anticipation of these changes, the flexibility of our organization, combined with our global presence make us well positioned to evolve with the changes in our industry.
Ekman’s Pulp Division operates out of three regional hubs; Gothenburg, Miami, and Hong Kong.
